Dave Ingram is a naturalist and photographer based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. He has worked as a heritage interpreter with both BC Parks and Parks Canada as well as a number of other regional environmental organizations. Dave regularly contributes photographs of BC native plants to the eFlora image bank. His work has been published in a variety of different places.

MacKenzie Beach, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. This little cove near @middlebeachlodge is separated from the main part of MacKenzie Beach at high tide (although there is a "high tide trail" that will get you to the main beach). After photographing the waves breaking over the rocky shore, I noticed the water flowing around some isolated rocks on the small sandy beach. A slow shutter speed helped capture the serenity of the location. MacKenzie Beach near Tofino, British Columbia. High tide and a limited access point into this small cove at the end of Mackenzie Beach made this a challenging location to photograph. Some good potential here with interesting rock formations. Still, it has a west coast vibe and a more dramatic sunset might have been epic. South Beach - this location is just spectacular at any tide. Finding that shutter speed sweet spot is part of the fun and then working the flow of the water into the composition is so rewarding.
